Epoxol® EP193

Plasticizer / Coalescing Agent

EPOXOL® EP193 is a bio-based plasticizer and coalescent for paints and related applications. It exhibits excellent compatibility with a variety of chemistries, is non-fugitive and ultra-low VOC. As a coalescent, EPOXOL® EP193 has a very high partitioning coefficient and low HLB, providing coalescence while maximizing dirt pick-up resistance. As a plasticizer, EPOXOL® EP193 is an excellent, non-hazardous alternative to solvents, phthalate, benzoate and citrate-ester plasticizer applications including coatings, caulks, sealants, and adhesives. EPOXOL® EP193 has high bio-based content and is an excellent choice for renewable formulations and low VOC systems.

Functions & Benefits

EPOXOL® EP193 is a bio-based coalescing agent and plasticizer. It exhibits excellent compatibility to a variety of chemistries and provides excellent plasticization and solvency. As a coalescent, EPOXOL® EP193 provides efficient coalescence in extreme humidity environments and when used as recommended does not have a significant adverse impact on dirt pick-up or block properties. As a plasticizer, it exhibits good efficiency and flexibility and is not prone to migration issues. EPOXOL® EP193 is bio-based and non-hazardous.
